Made from a purified form of botulinum toxin, BOTOX Cosmetic temporarily relaxes the underlying muscles, giving you smoother, more youthful-looking skin.
What Happens During a BOTOX Cosmetic Appointment?
Your first BOTOX Cosmetic session begins with a consultation.
During this time, your provider will discuss your cosmetic goals, answer your questions, and address any concerns. They’ll also assess your facial features, focusing on areas prone to wrinkles, such as:
- The forehead
- Crow’s feet
- Between the eyebrows
Based on the information gathered during your consultation, they will create a custom care plan to help you achieve your desired outcomes.
Once they confirm the treatment plan, your provider will get started. Using a fine needle, they will inject a small amount of botulinum toxin into the areas you want to target.
The process is quick, usually lasting 15-30 minutes, and minimally invasive. Most patients report little to no discomfort during the injections.
After the session, you can return to your daily routine. There’s no significant downtime. However, avoiding strenuous activities for the rest of the day is generally recommended.
