Stephen A. Lin, M.D. is a board certified ophthalmologist who first joined Central Valley Eye in 1996. Dr. Lin was raised in Manteca where his father was one of the first specialist physicians serving the community for over 30 years. After graduating as Manteca High’s valedictorian, Dr. Lin attended Wheaton College in Illinois receiving Summa Cum Laude honors. He then chose to attend medical school at University of California, San Diego receiving recognition for outstanding research before subsequently receiving his ophthalmology training at Stanford University where he also completed a fellowship in glaucoma. He currently serves on the clinical faculty at Stanford Medical Center as an assistant professor, utilizing his experience and expertise in instructing young physicians in ophthalmic surgery.
Dr. Lin is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and member of the American Glaucoma Society, The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, The American Medical Association and the San Joaquin Medical Society. His professional interests include small incision cataract surgery, glaucoma management and refractive surgery including LASIK and premium intraocular lens technology.
